Tom Branfoot Writer-in-Residence at Manchester Cathedral
This year, the competition will have an ecopoetry and place theme. We are looking for poems that navigate the thorny interconnections between the self and others, human and other-than-human, brimming with lyrical grace and formal ingenuity.
Submissions should be sent to submissions@manchestercathedral.org with a small biographical note in the email.
This competition is judged by Tom Branfoot, Ella Duffy, Emily Oldfield and Dean Rogers Govender.
Submissions open on 27 August and will close at midday on 23 October. The winning poems will be announced on 3 December.
