Do you consider yourself a foodie? Have you ever read a restaurant review and wished you could give it a go? Or are you interested in telling a whole story through one snack?

Then come along and explore one of the most fascinating and perhaps accessible genres of non-fiction in an evening full of tastings and writing exercises designed to unlock your inner Nigel Slater (or Jay Rayner). Food writing is for everyone, including you!

There are a very limited set of free tickets for this workshop for those who cannot afford it. If you are eligible, please send an email to rubyswriteclub@gmail.com – no proof will be required.

About your facilitator:

Ruby Martin is a writer and performer based in Manchester. She has been shortlisted for the Sid Chaplin Prize, as well as longlisted for Penguin’s #WriteNow Scheme and the Dawn Foster Memorial Prize. She is a Streetcake Experimental Writing and QuietManDave prizewinner for her short stories and non-fiction, and her first book, Fussy, is coming out with Cartouche Press in 2024.

Access: There is a wheelchair ramp, disabled toilet and one parking space for disabled users. If you have any access needs, please get in touch at rubyswriteclub@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
