Paul Cookson was brought up near Preston, and now lives in Retford, Notts. He has worked as a poet since 1989, performing in schools and libraries, and at literature festivals and events across the world. As well as being Poet-in-Residence for The National Football Museum and Everton in the Community, he is Writer-in-Residence for Sing Together and Poet Laureate for Slade. Paul has more than sixty titles to his name and over a million book sales, and with a quarter of a million copies sold, the anthology The Works has become a teacher’s ‘poetry Bible’. His second volume of COVID-19 poetry diaries, ‘Can of Worms’, has just been published by Flapjack Press (“This book is a must” – Michael Rosen).

Tony Curry is a performance poet, playwright, workshop facilitator, soundsmith and enabler. Raised in Crawley by English and South African parents, he has lived and worked in Manchester for three decades, running literature-in-the-community projects at schools, colleges, art galleries and museums with a specific leaning towards mental health and wellbeing for young adults. Tony has scripted numerous radio plays and his solo spoken word shows include Brit Boy, Complicit Relations, Moving and The Odyssey, performed at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre. His third poetry collection, ‘We Kid Ourselves’ will be published by Flapjack Press in April 2021.
