The Pendle witch trials of 1612 have fascinated the nation for many centuries. The only window on this tragic event is a book written in 1613 by the clerk Mr Thomas Potts, titled ‘The Wonderful Discovery of Witches in Lancashire’.
With tour guide Simon Entwistle, we will cover the crimes, the characters and the prosecution and leave it for you to decide – were these people innocent or guilty of Witchcraft?
