Jonathan Schofield will be presenting an entertaining introduction to Chetham’s Library and the buildings it sits within. There will be stories about the extraordinary collection, the extraordinary readers and the extraordinary visitors. There’ll be wizards, writers and politicians of all persuasions including the fathers of modern communism plus the odd spook, of course. The narrative will be humourous and illustrated with superb images.
