Instituto Cervantes in Manchester is launching a new edition of its Latin American Literature Reading Club led by Dr Mariana Casale.

A space aimed at native and non-native speakers to discover the new styles and narratives of Latin American literature, through established authors and also discover the most promising new writers. Sessions also approach literature through bibliotherapy, assuming that reading and writing have good properties for readers.
This new series -from September to December- is “Argentine classics that will blow your mind” and aims, through the reading of three classic authors such as Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar and Silvina Ocampo, to empower the reader to find themselves.
The sixth session of the series is “Rasgar el velo de la imagen” where will be read Animales en los espejos (El libro de los seres imaginarios) by Jorge Luis Borges and Las babas del diablo (Las armas secretas) by Julio Cortázar.
The session will be in Spanish and by Zoom free software.
