Manchester Multilingual City Poet, Ali Al-Jamri, wrote us a poem for this year’s Festival of Libraries back in June.
In Prisms of Knowledge was written in Arabic by Ali who then translated the poem into English. From here our two other Manchester Multilingual City Poets, Anjum Malik and Jova Bagioli Reyes, translated the poem into Urdu and Spanish respectively.
It may seem odd to be bringing this up now as the festival was four months ago, but it’s because we’ve now been able to add the videos of all four versions to our YouTube channel. That definitely feels like important news to share and celebrate, especially just after their incredible success at their Manchester Literature Festival event this week.
You can watch each version below!
