Write
Abigail Reid, Rock Paper Write
Is your child wild about the outdoors and creative writing? If so, this is the holiday club they will flourish at. This wonderful combination of nature study and writing offers your child two full days of exploring the exciting world of the woodlands and meadows. Rooted in Forest School principles of experiential learning and child-led play, time spent outdoors will enable the young people to reap the health, wellbeing, and conservation benefits of connecting with nature.
Children will learn about the earth and the life it supports as well as the environmental challenges we face and the steps that we can take to overcome them.
Inspired by their natural environment and a range of literature children will go on to create their own story adventures.
We will share all the work produced on a website and social media.
For children between the ages of 8 and 13 years – we may be able to make an exception – please contact the organiser to discuss.
The two-day workshops will take place at St. Clements Church, 1 Manor Ave, Urmston, Manchester M41 9JZ from 9am to 4.30pm. The cost is £20 per day (plus booking fee). Attendance for two days is required. Early drop-off places (from 08:30 – 09:00) can be booked at a cost of £2 per child, toast and juice will be provided. This is payable on the day and must be booked prior to the start date.
