Instituto Cervantes Manchester
Instituto Cervantes Manchester takes part in International Mother Language Day with an online Bilingual Poetry Reading to share Spanish poetry literature translated into English.
A poetry reading that aims to show the diversity of the Panhispanic world and the different forms of poetic expression from countries such as Spain, Argentina, Uruguay and Cuba. All countries with Spanish language as their common ground.
The event is online on Instituto Cervantes Manchester’s YouTube channel Open to all who enjoy analysing and finding beauty in poetry in Spanish.
Mariana Casale, specialist in Ibero American Literature, will read the poems in Spanish and lead the session. Followed by poetry translator Terence Dooley, who will read the English version. A free event to enjoy the best poetry in Spanish.
