Flapjack Press presents Euphoria by Melanie Neads
Educational, engaging, and better than Wordle!

Euphoria is a collection of antilipogrammatic constrained poetry and plays – univocalics wherein each uses only a single, specific vowel.
Exploring diverse poetic forms and structure, Euphoria confronts serious themes including social and global politics, mental and physical health, abuse, class, identity, brain training, and the human quest for wellbeing.

“Tone-perfect and brilliant. Effortlessly conjures surreal mini-worlds that fit the vowels designated as their guiding stars. By far the most satisfying univocalics I’ve seen.” Dr Kate Fox, stand up poet & broadcaster

“If you try to write a poem or play using only one vowel, you will find it’s tricky, but fun. For Melanie, it seems to be easy. Euphoria is unique – a real tour de force, each piece tricky, but fun.” copland smith, poet & playwright

“As a newcomer to the univocalic form I was challenged and intrigued by this playful collection, where style sits side by side with social commentary.” Julie Hesmondhalgh, actor
