BOOKS & THE CITIES, a project of Fondazione Arnoldo e Alberto Mondadori will start on February 20, in collaboration with Milan UNESCO Creative City of Literature, Comune di Milano and the UNESCO Creative Cities of Literature.

A series of seven meetings to get to know seven UNESCO Creative Cities of Literature, through testimonies and suggestions from guests that will tell the places representative of their city’s creative vitality.

The first appointment will be with us here in Manchester! Author and translator Tim Parks will tell us his itinerary of the heart and talk to us about literature classics related to the city.

Connecting from Manchester, Ivan Wadeson, Executive Director of Manchester City of Literature and Reshma Ruia, an Indian-born writer based in Manchester, whose work explores topics such as identity and belonging.
