Commonword’s Oldham Open Mic series is a celebration of the writing talent burgeoning in the town. Always warm and welcoming we invite storytellers and poets to take to the stage & share your work.

This fourth edition is a little different:

From 6-7pm: Performance workshop with Ella Otomewo – an opportunity to build your confidence using the mic & sharing your work.

7-9pm: Open Mic

All ticket holders are welcome, but not obliged, to attend the workshop.

Book your open mic slot by emailing ella@cultureword.org.uk. Open mic slots are 3 minutes per performer and are allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis from the stated booking time. If they are already filled, you will be offered a space on the reserve list.

This free event is taking place upstairs at Hack Oldham (lift access is available).
