One of our most fearless voices on nature, climate change and the environment, George Monbiot’s new book, Regenesis: Feeding the World Without Devouring the Planet considers a way to grow more food with less farming and transform our relationship with the Earth. Through discoveries about fertility, perennial grains and new ways of growing protein and fats, George demonstrates how cutting edge thinking and tiny lifeforms could save the planet and provoke a regenesis. His TED Talk How Wolves Change Rivers has over 40 million views. His many awards include the UN Global 500 award for outstanding environmental achievement.

Sarah Bridle is a Professor of Food, Climate and Society at the University of York. She previously served as Professor of extragalactic astronomy at the University of Manchester. Her move from cosmology into agriculture and food research was motivated by the need to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. In 2017, Sarah founded the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) Food Network+. Sarah has won prestigious awards in the UK and Europe including a Royal Society University Research Fellowship and the Royal Astronomical Society’s Fowler Award.
