Bolton Library & Museum Services
As part of The Festival of Libraries, innovative Manchester-based Hawk Dance Theatre will take a family audience on an entertaining adventure around Bolton Central Library in Getting from A to B, looking at choices and decisions we face in our lives; the highs, the lows, and everything in-between!
Performed to original poetry by Louise Fazackerley and original music by Richard Smithson, performers lead audiences between bookcases, weaving our unique stories into one volume.
Getting From A to B invites audiences of all ages and backgrounds to explore their local library, to see the space in new ways and transforms the library into a performance space. The poetry engages adults & older children, giving them inspiration and reflection on life’s roller coaster journey, whilst younger children are absorbed by the dancer’s movements and expressions and delight in their own involvement in the performance.
There will be two showings of this half an hour production, one at 11am, and another at 1pm.
A free, safe, socially distanced event.
