Instituto Cervantes Manchester
The celebration was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2017 and, also, highlights multilingualism, languages, and their complex implications for identity, communication, social integration, tolerance, and intercultural dialogue.
The Instituto Cervantes in Manchester commemorates this celebration by organising the dialogue “Challenges of Poetry Translation”, with translators and poets such as Luis Castellví (University of Manchester), Jordi Doce and Antonio Martínez-Arboleda (University of Leeds), who will talk about the strategies, knowledge, difficulties or satisfaction of poetry translation.
Manchester City of Literature is committed to inclusion and accessibility for everyone.
