The University of Bolton’s English and Creative Writing department are proud to again partner with Bolton Library and Museum Services for a new season of exciting live literature events this Spring 2023.

All events are free, open to all, with no need to book, and take place at Bolton Central Museum Theatre (Le Mans Crescent, Bolton BL1 1SE), a short walk from Bolton train station/interchange.

On Tuesday 7th March we will be treated to a reading from Adam Farrer’s debut work of prose memoir. Cold Fish Soup has already been praised by the Times Literary Supplement as “nuanced, well-structured and memorable”, giving Farrer’s account of living in the coastal town of Withernsea, East Yorkshire as a teenager in the 1990s. Adam will be joined by Creative Writing lecturer Valerie O’Riordan to discuss his work.
