MACFEST (Muslim Arts and Culture Festival)
He will explore the intricate cultural exchanges, economic interactions, and social dynamics that characterized this cross-cultural encounter.
Additionally, he will discuss the involvement of Muslim women in the global mobility and diaspora experience.
By examining the experiences of Moroccan merchants in Britain, Dr Khalid will offer insights into the broader narrative of Muslim migration to Christian lands, uncovering their stories as well as the impact of their presence on both Moroccan and British societies.
Through his presentation he aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the interconnected histories that have shaped the multicultural tapestry of modern Britain.
