Immerse yourself in this eye-opening, powerful soundscape and walk in the shoes of people whose lives are deeply affected by a complex and misunderstood condition. Inside your body, in every moment, there are millions of messages being sent and received. For the most part, these signals stay silent, under the threshold of your awareness. But for one in ten people the signals spill over and the sensations explode. For one in ten people, their everyday experience is threatened by a physical reflex, that for most of us, is a minor irritation. One in Ten layers moving personal experiences with a fascinating story about a biological mystery inside us all. You will be gently guided through an imaginative and evocative soundscape. One in Ten is an experience designed specifically for public libraries. It is followed by a conversation with some of the people whose stories you will hear.
The following dates and times are available, all at Longsight Library: Wednesday 12th June – 12pm, 2pm, 6pm Thursday 13th June – 12pm, 2pm
