Based on the experience of editing ‘The Writers’ Table’ anthology with Chorlton Writers’ Cafe, the presentation discusses the value of the book as a place for the work of a writers’ group, the impact of creative collaboration on the writer, the evidence of the activity’s potential to affect a writer’s wellbeing, and the book as a tool to engage with the wider community.

The talk includes tips on editing a group anthology, financing the project, the publishing process and promoting the book.

Lucy Power is a PhD Researcher in Creative Writing at University of Salford.
