Friends of Crumpsall Park
Over the afternoon, we’ll have guided writing exercises that use the park as inspiration. This month’s workshop will focus on place writing, using descriptions of place as a prompt for your creativity.
The workshop will take place in the Visitors Centre and at various locations around the park. It is suitable for all abilities – from beginners to more experienced writers.
The session will last from 2-5pm, with refreshments provided.
Hannah Kate is a Crumpsall-based short story writer and poet, with decades of experience leading creative writing workshops. Her work has appeared in a number of magazines and anthologies, and she has previously designed writing exercises for Friends of Crumpsall Park, Friends of Bailey’s Wood, Clayton Hall and Chetham’s Library, as part of her role as writer-in-residence at Clayton Hall.
Please note: some parts of this workshop will take place outdoors, so please make sure you have appropriate clothing for the weather. The Visitors Centre and park are wheelchair accessible, but please do get in touch if you have any questions about accessibility.
