It is easy to feel paralysed in the face of climate and ecological breakdown. The RoundView is an accessible toolkit for sustainability thinking and learning. It gives a straightforward, science-based set of guidelines to redesign our systems so we don’t cause environmental problems in the first place.

The toolkit includes a range of beautifully designed games and resources which combine art, science and poetry to support people’s learning whatever their age or learning needs. The tools are flexible and allow teachers and facilitators to adapt the activities to their audience, ensuring high quality learning for all.

We have started translating the poems into multiple languages to create a truly global, multicultural sustainability learning resource. This event will see the first public reading of some of the poems in different languages by Manchester Multilingual Poet Laureate Anjum Malik, Tawona Sithole, Academic Coordinator, UNESCO Chair for Refugee Integration through Languages and the Arts, University of Glasgow and other contributors to the RoundView poetry collective.

There will be a panel discussion about the lessons learned around language, poetry and science communication, and exciting new ideas for taking this creative learning process into libraries, schools and communities across Greater Manchester and beyond.
