SubscribeThe PROTO_Network Meet-ups bring a “digital cabaret” vibe, with icebreaker games, creative activities, and hands-on digital workshops aimed at inspiring collaboration and exploring what digital art tools can do to enhance your practice. Whether you’re an established artist or just starting out, these events are for anyone with a passion for art, a curiosity for technology, and an interest in meeting potential future collaborators.
The events will be hosted by the hilarious and flamboyant Manchester-based artist Jonathan Mayor, a comedy legend celebrated for his quick wit, outrageous charm, and talent for bringing people together. Jonathan will keep the energy high and the laughs coming.
We’re also thrilled to welcome Alex Johansson, an award-winning digital artist whose work brilliantly merges technology and play in unexpected ways. Alex will share insights from their creative journey, demonstrating how digital tools can elevate your artistic practice, and offering a behind-the-scenes look at their projects, including the experimental light installation, ‘Radiant Vines’.
By attending the PROTO_Network Meet-ups, you’ll gain:
– Access to a vibrant and supportive community of local artists.
– Insight into how digital technology can enhance your work.
– Access to commissioning opportunities through the PROTO programme.
– Information on how PROTO can support you with funding, 1-2-1 sessions, and other resources.
