Rochdale Borough Libraries
A writing workshop with writer (and Rochdale Senior Library Assistant), Daniel Lamb.
They say everybody has at least one good novel in them, which may indeed be true. The hard part, of course, is getting that novel down on paper. In this 90 minute online workshop, aspiring writer Daniel Lamb aims to help unlock your creative potential by arming you with hints, tips, and new ways of thinking about what stories are and how best to write them.
In this workshop, we will discuss why stories are important, how to channel your own experiences and observations into the characters and worlds you create, and how to tackle the dreaded ‘writer’s block’. Whether it’s your first time picking up a pen, or you’re well on your way to finishing a masterpiece, this workshop aims to help you get the most out of your writing. Please have a pen and paper to hand!
The workshop, with places limited to 20, will take place on Zoom. A link to join will be emailed to participants 24 hours in advance.
Daniel’s play, ‘A Different Story of Rochdale’, was chosen to be professionally staged as part of Rochdale Literature & Ideas Festival 2018 following a borough-wide competition.
