Elizabeth Gaskell's House
In the session you will be involved in creating several of original poems, looking at items in and around the house and garden for inspiration and seeking out the poetry to be found in the walls. Whether you’d like to create something in a Victorian-style to mirror Elizabeth Gaskell herself, or something contemporary to post online, we’ll cover all bases of getting started with a poetry project.
There’s no need to have ever written poetry before, complete beginners are very welcome. The event will run from 2-4pm and is limited to 15 people. Booking is essential. The House is a short walk from Oxford Road and is fully accessible. Refreshments can be purchased from the Tea Room.
