Are you active as a writer or translator? Do you need access to your own room? Are you looking for peace of mind and new inspiration? Now you can apply for a one-month residency grant during November 2024, within the framework of AIR Literature Västra Götaland. Apply by April 23 in partnership with our friends in Gothenburg City of Literature.
The residence grant means one month of free accommodation and access to work space. The scholarship amount is SEK 20,000. The residency grants where the host is a library or an independent cultural actor also include an author’s fee of SEK 8,500 for a public performance arranged during the stay, in consultation with the host.
They are accepting applications from literary people, such as writers and translators, from all over the world but will especially welcome applications from authors and translators active in the UNESCO network for creative cities in the field of literature, as well as authors and translators active in Sweden’s national minorities and minority languages.
In total, we are announcing 15 residence grants in 2024, at eleven locations in the Västra Götaland region including libraries and cultural spaces. All scholarship stays take place in November 2024.
