Connecting Stories Manchester is an Arts Council England-funded project delivered by National Literacy Trust and Read Manchester, with lots of exciting opportunities for children, young people and families across the city.

We would love to receive your entries for our creative writing competition, ‘Local Heroes’, which is aimed at 7-14 year olds in Manchester.

You can find out everything you need to know about the competition by on the National Literacy Trust page, here. In collaboration with HarperCollins publisher, selected entries will be published in an anthology of writing, so your child could see their name in print or as part of a local exhibition! There are more opportunities available for schools in Manchester, including virtual author visits, book prizes and story trails.
